Forms Designer
The Appian Forms Designer allows business users to design rich web forms for users to interact with in process actions. The Appian Form Designer users a unique web-based and extensible design environment that allows business users to create rich user forms with little to no IT involvement. IT users are further able to extend the Appian Forms environment with new service objects allowing business users to easily create forms that integrate into existing IT systems.

User Interface Design
Geared for users familiar with Microsoft Office, the Appian Forms Designer includes common design elements needed to create a rich forms experience. Design elements in the Appian Forms environment include:

• Tab Layouts
• Expandable and Contractible Sections
• Common Form Inputs — Text, Numbers, Dates, etc.
• Field Validation
• Dynamic Form Actions
• Rich Text Editing
• Image Embedding

Appian further allows IT developers to extend the forms design experience for users by adding custom inputs and actions. Business users often need to create a form that reaches into existing legacy systems to populate form values, but lack the expertise and access to create such integrations. Appian allows IT developers to create re-usable form components to quickly integrate to existing systems while maintaining a simple drag-and-drop design for business users. Once extended, business users can quickly create forms from a library of re-usable integrations from the forms toolbar.

Internationalization
Appian Enterprise is used by numerous organizations around the world and is available in variety of languages. Appian's interface subscribes to UNICODE compliancy and supports all language types. In addition, Appian's forms design environment is geared to capture multiple languages during design time. Appian form designers can input all necessary language interfaces for a task. When the task is rendered, Appian will analyze the user's language setting and display the form designed for that user's specific language preference.
