The Appian business process management suite builds and shares process models that conform to the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) standard for modeling business-oriented processes.
BPMN acts as the universal language for process modeling, enabling users to graphically represent activities, events, process flow, and human interaction using a common notation. Using this industry standard allows for universal understanding of business procedures and gives the organization the ability to communicate these procedures in a standard manner both within and outside the organization.
Appian's Professional Services teams are also trained in and advocate BPMN methodology while designing process models, process patterns, and workflows.
